CHICANO ENGLISH
CHICANO ENGLISH
It is a dialect of American English spoken primarily by Mexican American, is acquired as a first language by many children, making it the native language of hundreds of thousands, if not millions,of American.
It is not English with a Spanish accent ,

Linguistics different of this sort that vary with the social situation of the speaker are termed sociolinguistic variables
For example , the uses of nonstandard forms like double negation is often associated with pride of ethnicity, which is part of social context
many Chicano speaker are bi dialectal they can use CHE or AAE or SAE depending on the social situation

PHONOLOGICAL VARIABLE OF "CHE"
Chicano speakers whose native language is Spanish may substitute the Spanish vowel system
- The africate /tʃ / and the fricative /ʃ/
- Some consonants are devoiced for example /z/ is pronounced (s)
- "CHE" has word-final consonant cluster reduction war and ward.
SYNTACTIC VARIABLES IN CHE
In Spanish,
a negative sentence uses a negative morpheme before the verb even if another
negative appears;
Is a regular rule of che syntax:
sae che
Don't have any money I don have no money
I don't want anything I no want nothin
